Service Eligibility
The following is the type of clients best served by Port City Enterprises:
Any individual who wishes to be admitted to the Agency Supported Living Program and/or Day Program will be interviewed by the Director. The parent/guardian (if applicable) will be interviewed as well. An admission committee will be formed and will meet afterwards and evaluate the information concerning the individual to determine if the individual meets all admission criteria and decide if the program can meet the needs of the person (the admission committee shall be composed of staff members primarily responsible for their requested services and the Executive Director). After the committee makes its determination, the applicant will be notified of their decision. Any individual who wishes to be admitted to Port City Enterprises must meet the following criteria:
- They are age 22 or older
- They live in the PCE geographical service area
- They have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation or a developmental disability defined by the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities.
